Editing  the Workspace of
the CROWN & BOOK

Being a COLLECTOR of many things, I find space growing ever smaller in the already wee workspace of the C & B.  Reluctantly, I have decided to EDIT the space by passing on to you some of my TREASURES.

Coke's Tavern Punch Bowl.

This Punch Bowl was adapted from shards found at a dig that was conducted near John Coke's Tavern in Colonial Williamsburg.  11 1/2 inches diameter.

Encyclopedia Britannica Facsimile First Edition
(3 Volumes)

3 volumes - complete set. Hardcovers bound in dark brown leatherette with gilt spinal lettering. Almost An exact facsimile of the First Edition, originally published in Edinburgh in 1771. Reproduces all of the original 160 copper plates and foldout tables and also reproduces the slight page foxing of the original copy. Although no date or place of publication is given other than the original date and place of publication (1771, Edinburgh), this is a 3-volume facsimile edition published in 1971 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the publication of the original edition. Subtitled "A Dictionary of Arts and Sciences Compiled Upon a New Plan in which the different Sciences and Arts are Digeted into Distinct Treaties or Systems; And the Various Technical Terms, etc., are explained as they occur in the order of the Alphabet.".

Condition of covers has some damage.  I had purchased these to rebind.  Text blocks tight and neat.
